Client Benefits

KAS offers a number of unique benefits to its clients.  These include:

Focus

KAS provide only solid-state NMR analytical services to the pharmaceutical industry.  The principals of Kansas Analytical Services have collectively more than 100 years of experience in solid state NMR and more than 50 years of experience in pharmaceutical chemistry

Expertise

Our technical personnel are recognized experts in the analysis of pharmaceutical compounds by solid-state NMR spectroscopy.  Collectively they have performed more than 200 studies on pharmaceutical compounds and published more than 1000 papers on the analysis of pharmaceuticals.

Access to Complementary Techniques

Professor Munson maintains an academic pharmaceutical analysis laboratory at Purdue University that includes all of the traditional solid-state analysis techniques (differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), Raman and Infrared spectroscopy, HPLC, etc.) that complement his research in solid-state NMR spectroscopy.   His publications often focus on the comparison of these techniques for the analysis of pharmaceuticals.  His 30 years of research experience in the analysis of pharmaceuticals and other compounds gives KAS a unique insight on solid-state NMR spectroscopy that cannot be found at other companies.  KAS also has access to partner companies that can provide additional analysis capability.

Responsiveness

KAS operates two state-of-the-art Bruker AVANCE NEO 400 MHz NMR spectrometers.  These robust platforms provide high signal-to-noise for rapid data acquisition and redundancy to ensure predictable project scheduling.  Typical turnaround time for analysis projects, depending on the number of samples required, is two to four weeks.

Cost-Effectiveness

KAS can provide very attractive pricing for multiple sample quantities.  Special pricing programs for repetitive analysis requirements such as lot release are also available.

GMP Compliance

KAS has implemented a complete GMP program and now has the ability to provide fully GMP compliant analysis services.  The Bruker Topspin 4.0 software, available only on the Bruker NEO, provides a unique capability for data security, audit trails, and other features required to support GMP compliance.

Potent Compound Analysis

KAS has developed, validated and implemented a complete set of protocols and accessories for the analysis of Band 4 and Band 5 compounds.

Controlled Substance Analysis

KAS has completed the licensing process with the Drug Enforcement Administration and  can provide SSNMR analysis of Schedule II-V controlled substances.
